Certified General Industry Train the Trainer - Refresher (CGITT-R)

Course Description

Active IASHEP Authorized General Industry Trainers, don’t let your card expire! To stay current on relevant IASHEP and OSHA matters, IASHEP Authorized General Industry Trainers are required to attend a trainer update course every four years to maintain an authorized status as a trainer.

Target Audience
This course is designed for personnel who have successfully completed the IASHEP 105 course and who are active trainers in the Outreach Program.

Course Content
Participants will be provided an update on such topics as IASHEP and OSHA general industry standards, policies, and regulations.

Learning Outcomes

• Upon successful completion of the Certified General Industry Train the Trainer – Refresher (CGITT-R) course, participants will be able to:
• Review current OSHA General Industry regulations, IASHEP policies, and updated workplace safety compliance requirements.
• Identify emerging workplace hazards and reinforce effective hazard recognition, risk assessment, and incident prevention strategies.
• Apply updated OSHA standards related to chemical safety, electrical safety, machine guarding, ergonomics, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and workplace health programs.
• Deliver engaging, OSHA-compliant safety training using effective instructional methods, adult learning principles, and best training practices.
• Strengthen workplace safety programs by improving employee awareness, regulatory compliance, incident reporting, and hazard prevention initiatives.
• Maintain IASHEP Authorized Trainer status through continued professional development and regulatory knowledge updates.
• Promote a proactive safety culture by effectively communicating OSHA requirements, organizational policies, and workplace safety responsibilities.
• Improve training effectiveness through updated teaching techniques, compliance resources, and continuous learning strategies.
