Course Description

The Certified Ladder Safety & Inspection Training Technician (CLSITT) certification is designed to provide workers, supervisors, safety professionals, and inspectors with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely select, inspect, use, and maintain ladders in the workplace. This comprehensive course focuses on OSHA ladder safety regulations, ANSI ladder standards, hazard recognition, inspection procedures, and accident prevention techniques to reduce ladder-related injuries and ensure regulatory compliance.

Participants will gain a thorough understanding of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart X requirements and ANSI A14 ladder standards, including ladder classifications, inspection guidelines, proper setup, safe climbing practices, storage, transportation, and maintenance procedures. The course covers wood, metal, and fiberglass ladders, emphasizing pre-use inspections, defect identification, weight capacity, environmental hazards, and safe work practices for construction, maintenance, industrial, and commercial environments.
